“It is an honour to represent our country with the U23s in Toronto this summer,” Eniojukan in a Canada Basketball release. “We have a vast amount of talent in this age group, and GLOBL JAM provides them an excellent opportunity to gain valuable international experience and showcase their talents at home. On behalf of our staff, we’re incredibly excited for GLOBL JAM and the chance to lead Canada at home.”

Eniojukan is the head coach of the York University women’s basketball program, having held that position since the 2021-22 season.
She returned to the Lions after spending two seasons with the team as a student-athlete between 2003-05, where she was also named the most valuable player in her final year.
Previously, Eniojukan was the first head coach for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks in their inaugural season in 2019-20. She has been involved with Canada Basketball since 2010 in various roles as well.

Canada Basketball also announced that Nathaniel Mitchell, who has been an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors for the previous two seasons, would be returning as head coach of the Canada U23 men’s national team competing at GLOBL JAM.
“Excited and grateful for the opportunity to be back representing my country at this year’s GLOBL JAM,” said Mitchell in a release. “Not only is it another opportunity to compete, but also grow the game in Canada while playing at home.”
