According to Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II MP may be downloaded separately.
Modern Warfare II is a direct sequel to the 2019 reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is an action-packed multiplayer game only consisting of authentic guns with the use of Gunsmith. On the other hand, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the highly anticipated successor to Warzone, which is also a battle royale game that will be available for free to players. Infinity Ward was responsible for the development of both games, while Activision was the company that released them. Fans, on the other hand, debate whether or not both games need to be downloaded in order to play Warzone 2 and vice versa. Recently, Joe Cecot, co-design director of Infinity Ward, issued a statement regarding the matter.
According to Joe Cecot, Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II can be downloaded separately. This implies that leaving the game in order to switch will not be deemed required any longer after this. Players who are only interested in playing Warzone 2 do not have to download the content for MWII owing to this, while players who are only interested in playing MWII do not have to download Warzone 2’s content. Cecot assured everyone that the integration will be seamless, which should come as a huge relief to the fans. Those users who wish to play both games but have limited storage space will benefit greatly from this development since everything will be coupled to a single .exe file.
The beta test for Modern Warfare II is presently being carried out, and it has already reached the halfway point of its duration. Meanwhile, some fans hope that Warzone 2 will also have a beta test. However, Activision has not yet made a remark on the matter. On numerous platforms, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will be made available for purchase on November 16, 2022, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be made available for purchase on October 28, 2022.
