Two Point Campus reveals Pumpkin Trophy and Switch delay plans
Two Point Campus, the hilarious indie sim game that follows Two Point Hospital, has just announced a new community challenge, and updated Nintendo Switch fans on when they can finally expect Halloween Update 2.0. Here’s the full statement from developer Two Point Studios:
Two Point Campus is already deep into its Halloween celebrations, offering up a load of new cosmetics and map changes. There’s also a new limited time mode, and now players can participate in The Siege of Noblestead in order to win the lavish new Pumpkin Trophy.
Only one fan will need to pass the high score of 501, and then alert the devs on their social media with a screenshot as proof of completion. The devs of Two Point Campus have stated that they will alert fans as soon as the record is broken.
While the game put in more than enough effort to create the season’s theme, this is a great way to create a real sense of community and celebrate Halloween together. The challenge is fair, but likely not impossible, and it’s a treat that all players will receive the reward.
Unfortunately, Nintendo Switch users haven’t gotten the Halloween Update 2.0 yet, which has already been out since October 20th for other platforms. The link in the above tweet elaborates on the devs’ plans for this delay, ultimately reassuring Switch players that their rollout is “in the last phase of testing”.
Also, the event will be extended past Halloween itself, so that Switch users will still have enough time to participate. It is expected to last “an extra week” once the update successfully rolls out on the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, this will be a nice enough gesture for those who won’t get as much gaming in before the spooky holiday.
