Rumor: Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date Set For October
Ubisoft is readying the stage for the thirteenth chapter in the celebrated Assassin’s Creed series. Unconfirmed reports emerging from Japan hint at an October 12 release date for the new installment, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. While no official statement has been made by Ubisoft, it is significant to note that Japanese retailers usually adhere strictly to official dates.
Set to invigorate the Assassin’s Creed saga, Mirage thrusts players into the role of Basim Ibn Ishaq, a resourceful thief situated in the bustling urban sprawl of ninth-century Baghdad. A dramatic sequence of events propels Basim into the ranks of the Hidden Ones, an age-old organization that grooms him into a formidable Master Assassin.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was originally conceived as an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, given its gameplay features and distinctive narrative trajectory, it has since evolved into a standalone title. This installment takes a nostalgic turn back towards the franchise’s origins, with a renewed focus on stealth, tailing missions, and eavesdropping. This strategic pivot away from the role-playing and open-world traits that have characterized recent installments in the series signals a return to form for the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
In Mirage, players will immerse themselves in an intricately crafted depiction of Baghdad, divided into four unique districts. This immersive cityscape will respond dynamically to player actions, further enhancing the realism of the gaming experience. Moreover, parkour will serve as a crucial tool for players to traverse the dense urban maze of Baghdad.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be accessible across various platforms, including PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, and Amazon Luna.
