F1 23 reveals Las Vegas Street Circuit with first look gameplay
F1 23, an officially licensed game from developer Codemasters and publisher EA, has just released the first gameplay footage of its Las Vegas Street Circuit. The Las Vegas Pack is time limited and exclusive, so fans will need to pre-order the Champions Edition before May 31st to receive it.
F1 23 ties in with the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship. The game has finally confirmed last month’s rumors that it would launch on June 16th, 2023. It will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The official EA Sports F1 Twitter feed released the first glimpse of the Las Vegas Pack, as well as a link to extended footage on the Formula One YouTube channel:
F1 23’s Las Vegas Pack is shaping up to be worth the extra investment, and the primary hook of the Champions Edition, which is otherwise light on content and mostly focuses on a few temporary perks. There is a surprising gap between Champions and Standard, which only has a starter pack and a fraction of the in-game currency.
It would’ve been nice if there were a mid-sized edition per usual, so that more players could enjoy Vegas though. The Las Vegas Street Circuit that was revealed today looks absolutely gorgeous, with detailed backgrounds that feel authentic and exciting. The prospect that Formula One’s opening race is scheduled here for later this year adds a lot of genuine hype.
Fans quickly noted the elevation in the Las Vegas Circuit, which feels like the kind of challenge that could only be reserved for a video game. It creates a definite flavor compared to familiar tracks, and it’ll probably be a standout on launch, which is likely why it was held for the Champions Edition. F1 23 looks very promising, and hopefully more trailers from Standard will roll out soon.
